ICE agent opens fire on white SUV after traffic stop

HARRISBURG, Pa. Allegedly, ICE agents performed a traffic stop of Clemente Lara-Hernandez on July 1st, 2026.

The video obtained contradicts statements claiming agents opened fire when Hernandez rammed into a vehicle. The video shows an agent reaching to their left side, brandishing what appears to be a gun, returning the gun to the holster, and pulling what appears to be a baton from the agent’s right side.

In a statement on Wednesday afternoon, the Department of Homeland Security said officers were “conducting a targeted vehicle stop” to arrest Clemente Lara-Hernandez.

Commissioner Justin Douglas issued a statement after referencing DHS Policy 1-16.200, Use of Deadly Force and Prohibited Restraining Techniques.

“Regardless of an individual’s immigration status or criminal history, the rule of law applies equally to everyone, including the government. Accountability is not optional simply because the badge says “federal.” Law enforcement officers carry extraordinary authority, and with that authority comes an extraordinary responsibility to exercise restraint, professionalism, and sound judgment.”

The FBI responded to the incident around 3 pm to conduct an investigation.

This is a developing story.
